IF YOU HAVE not first dwelt on the terrors of God’s righteous law, you cannot appreciate the magnitude of His love; if you are not bereft with your own depravity and nature of sin, you cannot marvel at the mercy of God that enables you to embrace Christ; if you are mindful of your strength and ability, you remain insensible to God’s abounding grace and void of His life that breathes salvation into the soul.
