• Man’s or God’s Praise?

man or God pleasers

What foolishness in lusting after man’s recognition and admiration of us instead of thirsting for God knowing and being pleased with us.

  1. What glory could man offer? There’s as much glory in a fallen man as there is in a pile of horse manure. Just the very thought of turning one’s back on God and worshiping man is ludicrous!
Well, man is man and no matter how God reveals Himself to us, man will turn back to his mire.

    • We see it that way because God has opened our eyes to the foolishness of it. The old self still loves to be given attention; our flesh likes to appear good in the eyes of others. Thank God for abhorring self and that increases as God furthers His work in us.
