This devotional expresses how God desires we come before Him with a heart free of pretence. We may prove ourselves to be competent in the area of sound biblical theology, but genuine prayer will measure the reality of the power of God’s Word in our life. Sometimes our prayers will not be as eloquent as people would desire them to be, but what God is concerned about more than anything else is that we approach Him with a heart that truly yearns for Him. The reality and power of prayer is seldom known in our generation, and if there is one thing needful for the Church today, it is to be baptised with a spirit of prayer.
